![]() Being a woman doesn't protect you from Heart Disease. It is the #1 killer of all women over the age of thirty-five in the United States. Often heart disease begins in women under twenty years of age, many years before they have symptoms. Unfortunately, forty-three percent of deaths in American women, or nearly five-hundred thousand, are caused by cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke) each year.
