The Heart Group provides our patients with the opportunity to participate in investigational treatments and therapies that may improve their condition and quality of life.

Because of the complexity of drug trials and device studies, we believe that having a dedicated physician investigator on staff is crucial to the quality of research patient care and the effective medical oversight of our ongoing clinical research activities.
Our Medical Director of Clinical Research, Dr. Joseph P. O’Bryan, has more than 30 years experience as a board-certified internal medicine physician and guides a team of experienced Clinical Investigators and full-time Certified Clinical Research Coordinators.

We are presently involved in a range of research trials that entail both office-based outpatient studies as well as studies requiring a hospital stay.
